More Cairns!

Is this just the cutest photo EVER or what?!? The koala doesn't look too bad either, does he? :-) Here I am with Harvey, who has officially confirmed my status as a bear chaser. Stacy, Patty and I stopped by the Cairns Rainforest Dome, which is essentially the roof of the Reef Hotel & Casino. They've thrown a bunch of birds, koalas, kangaroos and one large crocodile up there and covered them all with a big glass dome. Unfortunately, Christine was busy putting in full days at her SCUBA certification course, so she couldn't join us. :-(

After Harvey refused to leave Australia to be with me, I had no choice but to drown my sorrows in a few drinks at the swankiest bar we could find in Cairns, Sapphire Bar.

Sadly, this would be our last night together. The next morning, Patty & Stacy packed up and flew off to Sydney, and Christine and I headed off for our 3-day trip to the Great Barrier Reef aboard a dive boat. *snif* I'm not sure whether I'll ever see Stacy or Patty again, but somehow I know in my heart that I'll be reunited with Harvey.
